Palm Sunday – 25 March 2018

8 am  Eucharist with blessing and distribution of palms

9.15 am  ‘Joyful Noise Eucharist’ with blessing and distribution of palms

10.30 am  SUNG EUCHARIST

with blessing and distribution of palms and procession from West End Green

and dramatic reading of the passion according to St Mark

 5 pm  Stations of the Cross


Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday in Holy Week

8 pm  Eucharist with devotional address each evening

a quiet, meditative said service in the Nazareth Chapel lasting about 30 minutes


Maundy Thursday – 26 March 2018

“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another as I have loved you”

10.30 am  Chrism Mass in St Paul’s Cathedral

8 pm  Sung Eucharist of the Lord’s Supper

with mandatum, stripping of the altars and watch at the altar of repose until midnight


Good Friday – 27 March 2018

“Christ was obedient unto death, even death on a Cross…”

10.30 am  Stations of the Cross for children

lasting 30 minutes, followed by hot cross buns

2 pm  Liturgy of the Lord’s Passion and Death

the traditional liturgy of Good Friday


Holy Saturday – 31 March 2018

“If we have died with Christ we shall surely live with him…”

10.30 am  Church cleaning – all help very gratefully received

8 pm  The Easter Vigil & First Eucharist of Easter

Celebrant & Preacher: The Rt Revd Rob Wickham, Bishop of Edmonton

Lighting of the new fire, blessing of the Paschal Candle and first Eucharist of Easter

followed by fireworks and bubbly refreshments


Easter Day – 01 April 2018

“Alleluia!  Christ is Risen!  He is risen indeed!  Alleluia!”

8 am  Eucharist of the dawn

9.15 am  ‘Joyful Noise’ Eucharist for Easter day

with eggs for children

this service is especially suitable for very small children

10.30 am  FESTIVAL COMMUNITY EUCHARIST OF EASTER

followed by Easter eggs for all children
